Position: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 to £53,000
Location: London (with hybrid working)
The position:
Our leading international health charity client is recruiting a Head of Science Research. As part of the senior management team, you will manage a complex flagship international project. This will involve managing oversight of the projects, the collection and analysis of evidence, the development of statistics and providing expert guidance and advise across the organisation in the UK and internationally. You will act as a spokesperson on science-related media activities, and engage with a range of audiences, including the public, health professionals, policy makers and scientists. Finally, you will manage and develop 2 staff members.
Requirements:
- You will hold a PhD degree in a science subject and at least 3 years experience in a relevant area such as public health, nutrition, cancer or epidemiology
- You will be able to demonstrate your proven leadership skills and experience of line managing staff
- You will have strong project management and evaluation experience
- Excellent science communication skills including experience of writing scientific papers and presenting to scientific audiences.
