Policy & Influencing Manager
Position: Permanent
Salary: £44,600 – £49,400

The position:
Our leading international development charity client is recruiting a Policy & Influencing Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the organisation’s UK government and stakeholder influencing on effective aid that will reduce poverty and promote sustainable development. You will define and develop the charity’s policy positions on aspects of UK aid and conduct research and analysis to develop policy recommendations on the aid effectiveness agenda.
You will also project manage and assess the impact of the organisation’s policy and influencing activities. Furthermore, at this crucial time, you will scrutinize and lead influencing work on the UK government’s response to COVID-19 on an international level.
Requirements:
- You will have previous experience of developing evidence-based policy positions as part of broader advocacy strategies in an international development context.
- You will have previous experience of producing analysis and research involving both quantitative and qualitative skills.
- Knowledge of international development, aid quality and effectiveness and development finance.
- Knowledge of how to influence decision-making processes in the UK.
- Previous people management experience.
