The Position:
Our international development and humanitarian charity client is recruiting the post of Senior Media Officer. Joining a dynamic team, you will promote high profile campaigns within the UK media, build relationships with key journalists, respond to media enquiries, issue press releases and pitch news stories and features. You will also organise media events and support media related projects internally.
Requirements:
- You will have strong journalistic skills and a strong news sense for what makes a good story.
- A proven track record generating a wide range of media and PR coverage for a charity organisation, and established media contacts.
- Strong research, writing and editing skills.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of online media.
- Passionate about international development/humanitarian relief.
