About the Faculty of Public Health
The Faculty of Public Health is a membership organisation for around 6,000 public health professionals across the UK and around the world. We are also a registered charity. Our role is to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities and national populations. It’s an exciting time to join FPH as we launch our new 5 year strategy in July, with lots of opportunities for future impactful communications projects.
The role
Your responsibilities will include: managing social media channels, ensuring the Faculty website content remains up-to-date and accurate, producing mixed-media collateral; including video editing and designing reports for print, maintaining a communications calendar, identifying news stories/ upcoming reports relevant to FPH, researching and producing briefings and presentations on a variety of public health topics, and monitoring and reporting on the impact of FPH’s communications channels.
- You will have previous experience of working within a communications function
- You’ll have excellent written communication skills with proven ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences, purposes and channels
- Excellent research skills and the ability to distil complex information from multiple sources into concise briefings, communications, and presentations
- You’ll have an eye for design, the ability to use Photoshop, inDesign or similar platforms to create mixed-media marketing collateral such as infographics, booklets, and other design elements
- You’ll be technologically capable and able to learn how to effectively use Umbraco CMS, Dynamics CRM, Google Analytics and various social media tools and platforms
