The Position:

Our client is a fantastic charity based in Surrey.  They are recruiting a Communications Officer to develop and implement broad communications across the organisation and externally.  This brilliant role offers a great variety of work – providing written and visual content for the website, digital newsletters and promotional email campaigns, print publications and social networking sites, promoting their positive brand, engaging with the media and writing press releases, working closely with internal colleagues to gather content, and supporting fundraising campaigns.  You will also work on a new intranet project. You’ll be reporting to a line manager who is passionate about coaching and development and who really wants to see you succeed!

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a communications role, with excellent content writing skills
  • Good knowledge of social media
  • Experience of handling and managing communication campaigns
  • Ability to work independently and build relationships internally and externally, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with graphic design tools and SEO is a plus
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
