Salary: £35,700 – £43,785 pro rata
Location: Remote first with an office available in central London
Position: Temporary 3-4 months
The Position:
Our client is an independent charity and team of campaigners and fact checkers. They are recruiting a temporary Policy and External Relations Coordinator to help them to take action to reduce the spread of false or misleading claims. Your role will act on the findings of fact checks and secure corrections and other types of change, and improve how high quality information is released and communicated to the public.
Requirements:
- Excellent judgement and ability to take the initiative and pick the right tone for different situations, individuals or groups of people.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and compellingly with a wide variety of audiences and on a wide variety of issues, verbally and in writing.
- Experience working with and maintaining relationships with parliamentarians, civil servants and/or journalists
- A good understanding of public policy and debate, the government and regulatory environment and parliamentary process.
- Must be available to start immediately
