Policy Officer (Scotland)
Position: FTC 9-12 months
Salary: Competitive
Location: Home-based, Scotland
The position:
Our leading mental health charity client is recruiting a Policy Officer to analyse government policy, facilitate research and help shape the charity’s responses to legislation and consultations in Scotland. You will also support the work of the charity by drafting responses to external consultations and gather data by scanning parliamentary and research environments in order to identify issues, which may impact the charity’s activities.
In addition, you will undertake policy development tasks such as researching, writing and finalising briefing papers and statements and review the charity’s policy pages on their website.
Requirements:
- You will have previous experience in a parliamentary affairs or policy role.
- You will have strong research skills and experience.
- Knowledge of Scottish mental health policy.
- You must be available to start immediately.
